6 Ways to Clear Your Mind and Reduce Stress

1) Adult Coloring Books

There are several types of adult coloring books out there. Studies have shown that coloring allows your mind to concentrate solely on the task at hand, bringing you into a restful state similar to what you can achieve during meditation. A great book is the Stress Less Coloring Book Series, here is a link to the geometric patterns book from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Stress-Less-Coloring-Geometric-Relaxation/dp/1440593876

2) Pamper Time

Pampering yourself may seem more for women, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with a guy enjoying these things as well. Taking time to take a bubble bath, do a face mask, enjoy a massage, or get a mani-pedi will help your brain relax. Taking time away from your stressful tasks and rewarding yourself with some pampering time will help you feel less stressed when going back to continue a task. That is because an everyday routine can wear you down, but a surprise for yourself makes all the boring days worth it!

3) Exercising

Exercising is a word that most people may not like. But all exercises don't have to be hard. Exercising could be lifting weights, running, walking, cardio, yoga, dancing, sports, and so many more activities. There's bound to be one type of exercise that just helps your mind escape from everyday life. Even a location in which you exercise can change your entire mind set. Try workouts from YouTube for easy at home workouts in any type of exercises!

4) Planning

Planning your day, week, month, or year in advance is an efficient way of keeping your mind in order. Once our brains get overloaded with information that is not in order, they tend to just bounce around in our head until we either complete that task or write down that thought. The best way to keep our brains from becoming too overloaded or becoming forgetful is by using a planner/agenda or having a notebook as a substitute. 5) Relaxing

Just sit back and relax! There's no better way to clear you mind than to lay down on a comfy bed or couch and let the whole world fall beneath you. Relaxing is a priority to not becoming stressed. A goodnight sleep may not  always be enough time to relax, so maybe sneak in a nap if needed! You can never go wrong putting your mind into its comfortable state.

6) Cleaning

Surprisingly enough cleaning can help your mind be less stressed. Like other tasks above it helps your mind focus on the task being done. It is important to keep the area in which you spend most of your time clean, because if it is unorganized your brain won't be able to work as efficiently. If your area is in order your brain will thank you and be less stressed when it comes to maneuvering around or locating something.

Clearing your mind from stress is not limited to these six reasons in any way! Encourage yourself to find that one thing that will end your stressful days!
